Any reason other than cost Valker?

They added nothing at all to the bike. It ran the same, felt the same power, wore out just as fast (slow!), got the same fuel mileage. For the difference in price, I can fill my Interstate tank twice!!!!!!!!

Champion makes a plug, number 8809.  It is a motorcycle plug with a real wide heat range.  While other guys are experimenting on what number NGK or Denso to use, I put in those Champions and it is a happy day.  I have used them on an older CB900 that is plug-picky with good results, too.

They don't cost much at Wal-Mart, either.

Happy riding,

Hi Pluggy,
Welcome---- We are off to Wally World ( Walmart) this fine Sunday morning. I'll try your Champion 8809 plugs if they have them. I also used to have a CB900, the "F" model. I put 750 side covers ( paint scheme was an exact match) and made a lot of people wonder.

 Grin
Putin the 8809 plugs and all is well.   The old plusg were fine, nice sharp edges on the center electrode ect. The Valk does now start and warm up easier. Did a short 300 mile day with lots of altitude changes and the bike ran great getting clost to 40 MPG  shocked
      Thanks for the tip Pluggy,

The only spark plug I didn't care for was those old Nippondenso.  They had rather rough-looking threads.  Maybe they have improved over the years.
