After a short 40 mile ride, I parked the valk. When I went back a week later to start the bike it would not start. I have verified the bike was in neutral and the battery is fully charged. All that I hear when I press the starter is a click. No turning of the engine at all. As it had been about 6 months since I had ridden the 97Valk, I am curious if the short 40 mile ride would have possibly caused a vapor lock. I am really stretching the thought process. Yet the only other thing I can think of is the starter.

Any ideas of where I can check. If nothing else time to trailer it to the shop.

Again when I ride the bike the other day the only other thing I had done was to jumper the green and green/yellow kickstand cable wires as I had accidentally pulled them out when I had the bike on the jack. I can't see where that would have hurt anything. Again I rode the bike for a short 40 mile ride with a couple of starts after I jumper-ed the cable.

This one has me stumped.

Yeah Davey, this is Red, and it is perplexing, as there has been nothing mechanically impacting the lady.

Well after reading MPs post about a starting issue and that his was the solenoid. I tried the red lady multiple times, and sure if enough it cranked over. I expect from lack of use the solenoid has some crud on it, and may need to be replaced or cleaned. Yet at least I know where the problem is.

The board comes to the rescue again.

Thanks guys.
