Well at least to Tazewell  which is spitting distance from WVa, where i will be staying with Don (Highbinder) and Tracy (Lady Draco) overnite at their farm on top of the mountain  A more beautiful place is hard to find

They have graciously offered to show me how to do a rear wheel removal and spline drivetrain service as my dealer did NOT do either when he mounted my Battleaxe 200 series tire.

I am stoked as they are terrific folks and Tracy is a great mechanic (Don is great also) and their Barn/Garage has a big a footprint as my house.   I hope to ride 16 into West Virginia before heading south to North Carolina.  Should arrive for dinner on the 19th at Maggie Valley so dont leave for dinner without Oss  lol

My plan for now is to ride the BRP up to TomT and Joanie's place in Virginia then back home by Monday nite

Looking forward to seeing some of you and there will be a toast or 2 for those of you too ill to attend this year.

I am bringing a Very fine bottle of single malt scotch with me Valker

A toast should be made with the finest spirits available and it shall thus be made in Maggie Valley when I arrive Turesday  All who are there shall share in the toast if they want any

Packing the bottle and some paper dixie cups in the bin next to the saddlebag today so I dont forget when its time to leave  Even wrote in big letters on the bag TAKE ME TO MAGGIE

Oss, I REALLY appreciate the toast and thoughts (especially with a fine single malt).

Update

I did make it to Maggie Valley with about 10 bagels and most of the scotch just before sunset

First thing the bagels were devoured by the hungry who were there to say hello

Then I dispensed the bottle of single malt scotch and made appropriate toasts to those who have ridden with us but who no longer ride this earth like KC, Cycho (Dan) we will see them in Valhalla riding Valkyries someday  and those who just could not manage to be with us this year like Valker, Mary and Bill, Taz, Dick and Kathy, Griz
and to safe fun days of riding which is what we all had.

It was the most fun I have had riding in all the years of VOAi rideins  as every day was a great ride in a different direction, although we had to go thru Cherokee it seems almost every day at least twice  No bikes broke down except right near the hotel or at the hotel and nobody got hurt or crashed.

Met lots of new folks and remet lots more and always great to see our old members

Looking forward to Keystone
