How do I remove the tank?

Remove bolt at front and back, unhook the hoses from fuel valve, unscrew plastic turning handle from fuel valve, lift up at rear of tank and pull up and back. Take a LOT of care with hoses. When you reinstall, be careful as it is easy to pinch a vacuum hose when replacing the tank.shocked

There really isn't much to it; as Valker says, the trick to it is not to kink the hoses when you put it back together.
There's not much to opening the airbox and getting the K&N in once you have the gas tank off.
