does anyone have a loading ramp setup or suggestion on what ramp to buy and use to load this big ass valk in a pickup with .[now b4 u all go off on it dont need to be loaded this & that] yes i know BUT there jus might come time that i have to load mIne, i want it to be ready. i have the 8' bed on my pickup
ive been looking at some of these ramps  i think there to short at 6'-7' its to much of a angle to ride it up or if had to push it  or it might even high center
IS THERE SOME KINDA LONGER BETTER BIKE LOADING RAMP FOR THIS MONSTER

Im thinking a ramp like pulls out of a Uhaul truck would be great and easy to ride right up

It is tough.  Most I see I do not think will work.  Needs to be wide enough so that you can place your feet down on each side.  Needs to be long enough, so the brakes will hold on the way down the ramp.  Also, because the valk is low and long, be VERY careful about catching the bottom of the bike when the front tire is in the box, and the rear is still part way down the ramp.

Even on my toyhauler 5th wheel, with 8' long ramp, and a lower garage than a pickup, I need to raise the front of the trailer some or block up the rear of the ramp some, or the bottom of the valk will catch.  Good place to tip over.

I think the best solution is the hydraulic loaders.  Goes flat on the ground, strap the bike down, then it pulls it up into the bed.

Much safer.  Not good if you get the valk halfway up the pickup ramp, then lose control, you go down, and the valk falls off the ramp, on top of YOU!

I have a 6ft, ramp that folds out to 3ft,and you can put your feet down, that I have used to load my truck (a dodge Ram) it's a little scary but it did do the job before i got my trailer with a ramp door

found this on the web:  http://www.bikercamps.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/02/DIY-bike-Ramp.pdf

Looks like it would be safer than using ramps designed for ATV's, etc. that are only 12" wide or so like I have made by ohio steel industries even with my arched design:  http://www.ohiosteelatv.com/loadingramps.htm

Agree that a much wider ramp made of plywood like the ones that swing down on the back of enclosed trailers is the only way to go.  If you could ratchet strap together my ohio steel industries arched design together, that would give about 2' of width to work with, but still don't think I would try it with an 800lb. bike.  I have done it with my full sized ATV's no problems in the back of my truck with those heavy duty steel folding arched ramps, but not with a cycle.  A 400lb. bike I would use my arched ramps strapped together, but not with the Valk.

Could you back the p'up in a ditch so the gate is even with the ground and drive it on? I've done it with lawn tractors but never a valk. Just a thought

Some like it fast, some like it long. Dragon drivers can provide you with both

Get the one that is not flat, but 'humped'. That  allows the low bikes to not scrape. There is a one man loading system. You ride the bike onto a ramp flat on the ground, strap it down. Push a button and it loads it all in the bed. Not sure of the cost.

Here you go.  Link to auto loader, such as Valker and I mentioned.

http://www.jettrax.com/Price-list.htm

$2500-$3000.
