Deals Gap US 129

« Reply #15 on: December 12, 2011, 07:04:31 PM »

Hello All,

I have been away for almost a year. The reason being, a deal on a new Gold Wing came my way which was one that I couldn't pass up.

Not wanting to let my first love go, I still have her and now enjoy riding both. I rode down to Deals on the Valkyrie in 2007 & 08. This year I managed to get some extended time away from work and rode the Wing down so it could earn its Dragon sticker.

So here are my two pic's enjoying the twisties in July 2007 & Aug 2011.

NICE PICTURES

Thanks. I have to admit, The Killboy photographers do take great pictures.

When I was at Deals in May 2008 I chatted with two other Valkyrie owners at the rest stop overlooking the Dam and in the restaurant. Both had nice looking rides and great sounding pipes.

I took a pic of the rides parked in the parking lot as having more than 2 Valkyries in the same place is not   common where I live. In fact a lot of people don't know what kind of bike it is. I am not sure if the owners are members of the forum or not.

This is my Valkyrie, 242K+ miles.    Since my health went to pot, I don't get to ride it too much lately.  I rode it a total of 96 miles in 2011. 159 in 2010.    Kids put over 12,000 on it those 2 years.

This was the last real trip I made on MGM.    My son came along on his Kaw-A-Sog-I.    LOL

My 2 youngest kids ride hell out of him however.    Don't know which one want the Valk when I'm gone.

Whoever gets it, the other one get the Hot Rod.

Son traded his Kawi for a Chopper, S&S 103" motor so it don't belong to the Hardly Group.  Nothing Hardley on it.

Can't find a picture of the Kawi. It would smoke the Valkyrie in a 1/4 mile.

One of those 3 cylinder Triple 2 stroke ring a ding dings.

This is my Hot Rod:

76 Truck 350 stroked out to 391, and 3:73 gears.

Turns the 1/4 in just under 14:00.   Was in Ohio on Hot Rod Power Tour.
