NOOOOOOOOOOOOOO say it isn't so! In southern WI they are predicting freezing and below freezing temps starting Tuesday night possibly even very light snow flurries. Time to get rid of the shorts while riding I guess? All the people at work thought I was crazy driving into work tonight with temps in the upper 40's and 20+ mph wind gusts. They are all a bunch of wimps. I don't know though, 29 degrees at night is pushing it even for me who can stand the cold more than most folks. Besides, them darn deer are starting to move with the corn starting to be picked with deer collisions almost reported daily around me.

I only put the bike away if the Hwy. Dept. spreads salt brine on the Bridges, intersections, and curves. That stuff is incredibly corrosive. A few years ago the wife and I went riding during the Gun deer season. Was 72 degrees out and roads hadn't been salted yet. We wore blaze orange though! After bike is put away, then is time to prep the snowmobiles. Love the snow too!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Shucks, I sure do hate you guys are winterizing already. The weather here in East TN was terrible today. Blue sky, zero clouds, light breeze and around 45 this morning up to upper 60s by mid afternoon. Miserable weather to ride in especially with all those colored leaves flitting about in the air. Oh, well, some of us just have to suffer. If you ever think about moving, head in this direction as you can ride about 10 to 11 months of the year.

I live on the dry side (east side). Yesterday was great for riding, and today is another great day. Had a great ride yesterday, and probably will go out again today. Most years I do get to ride 12 out of 12 months. Maybe not as much as I like in the Winter months, and stay out of the Mountains, but still never totally winterize the Ole Fat Lady. I will, starting the middle of November, start using fuel stablizing stuff incase I am not able to ride for several weeks.

Had 2 nice days of riding with my friend Dag from Norway I think we put on a few hundred miles total.
Colors here are peak, but we rode far enough north that its past peak also This year the colors are not as intense NO bright reds lots of orange yellow and in between colors and deep purple from some maples
Lots of great roads still closed due to hurricane Irene. That girl sure made a mess Cliff road over west point closed Rt 106 from the circle north closed and Perkins drive closed
Hope they open before next spring Pierre glad you got some riding in
Valker, 88 degrees did you wear your winter coat yet?

Yeppers. I had my Gerbing stuff with me. Lows are in the 30s which makes my 60 mile commute chilly!

from what i've heard this is going to be a long cold winter. here in wisconsin that'll be normal. doesn't really matter, once the bikes put away it's just time to "fix" things up. i've made a camera mount for the handle bars, i'm planning on making one for the engine crash bar for a more dramatic look at the road.
