The stock rear tire size is a 180/70HR16, and I understand that you can go to a 200 size but you may need to shorten a couple of bolts on some models. Hope that this helps.

I'm running a sidecar on my '99 Interstate.  So, I have done a lot of experiementing with installing a car tire on the rear.

With minor modifications you can get a 205/60R16 on.  The mods, as stated above, are the mounting bolts for the hard bags and the fender.  I ground off the permanent nuts and used machine screws with the heads on the inside and the nuts on the outside.

Without mods the nuts intersect the tire when the suspension is compressed.  This results in a trailer ride home.

With serious mods, you can get a 225 on.  This entails changes to the final driven flange and the wheel itself.  Not for the faint hearted.

Don't run a car tire on a two wheel bike.  The square profile will get exciting when going around curves.   Hope this helps.
