I put my cycle away about a week ago and was just looking at my mileage for the year:

Start of season: 41,784
End of season: 49,449
Mileage for 2011: 7,665

That's 5,600 miles fewer than last year, how sad! I had some life changes though, what with my son being born last December and my commute changed from 140 miles round-trip to 12. No regrets here though, life is good!

I probably won't put my Valk away, as usually I can ride all winter.  Who know what evil the weather folks have planned for us this year.

Started 2011 with:  62,500
Right now have:      67,800  (Will get more if weather holds)

Should have gotten more, except my dear 92 year old Mom decided to break both elbows in April.

Nitro, You had a very good excuse for not getting the miles in. Enjoy that excuse every day.  AND you have the rest of your life to ride more miles.

Hey Nitro, as the little one gets a tad older and then a 2nd youngen comes along, I suspect your yearly riding mileage will continue to decrease somewhat.  I put on about 3800 miles this year up from last year since had knee surgery last April, but still even not close to on par with most folks here.  As my kids are becoming near independent age 11 and 13,  I hope my yearly mileage will keep increasing.

Mine has not odometer so I use an app on my phone to keep track of fuel and mileage (I can write it off)

I used to put 15-18k per year on the wing and another 6-8k on the other bikes.
Now it's 10k on the wing which includes a 5600 mile vacation trip and 10k on the Valkyrie which is commuting and misc.

So far 119k on the Valkyrie and 107k on the wing - typically Honda not a problem with either one. I also have the STealth but only put 1000 miles on that one. I will have to work on that  Smiley

It's nice to have bikes that need no maintenance, only the general stuff.

Me too,  lately been working Monday thru Sunday 7 days a week.  Getting real sick of it and glad it will end in another week or so.  Only good thing is Sundays are double time which is what I should be making per hour anyways.

Even though there is no snow here, with the below zero I decided it was time to put both bikes to bed for the winter. My total miles for the season are:

2000 Valkyre Tourer - 3600 miles
2009 Gold Wing - 9500 miles.

I wish I was a snow bird like a few buddies of mine are from here that go down to Florida for the winter.  Cry
