Well .the time has finally come to have my cancer surgery.  This coming Monday the 12th at 7:30 AM  I know with all the well wishes that I will be itching to go riding as I did not get too much riding in this summer.  I just moved last week so living out of boxes still.  Will be in hospital, Northwestern Memorial downtown Chicago for a week or so.  I am starting to get nervous now Yikes!

Hang in there, TAZ! Lots of us out here praying for you and thinking of you. I'll set my alarm to pray when you go in to surgery. Are you still in central time?

TAZ,

my brother had a tumor removed from his brain about three weeks ago, exactly now since it's friday......

he's doing great!  i'm truely amazed as how well he's doing considering the location of the tumor, it was dead center of his brain, pushing up against his optic nerve, that's how they found out that he had it!  his vision was effected by it.  the doctors said his was a text book surgery, everything went perfectly.  he was at loyola university, right across from brookfield zoo.  i told him that if they screwed up, they could bring him across the street and put him in one of the primates cages were he could live out his life as a normal monkey!!  he laughed at that one......

keep your chin up, think positive, we've come a LONG way since using leaches!!

Good luck. It's amazing how much better surgery is now compared with only 10 or 20 years ago. Still there's risk and for that I wish you well.

All our prayers and well wishes for you TAZ.  Keep up the good fight, and see you in Keystone!

Maybe you could get Mike or someone to keep us updated while you are away from the keyboard?  We would greatly appreciate it.

Taz, we haven't met yet, but I just checked in at the Hotel Mayo (clinic that is) for my cancer treatment. Best wishes for your treatment.

Lets be sure to ride together next summer, when we beat these things. I have not had the riding season I had planned for in 2011, but plan to make up for that in 2012. See you next year, and stay positive!!!

Your Wisconsin friends are hoping that all turns out for the best and that we'll be riding together in the spring.
