Does anyone know where I can get the little Valkyrie carpets that lay in the bottom of the saddlebags?  They look like OEM but I don't seem to see them at hondaline direct.

I bought mine from a seller on eBay. I think it cost me $35.

JC Whitney may have them, but they don't have logos on them.   huh  Hoser

I should clarify that mine are not oem. They also don't have the interstate logo on them, but it doesn't much matter to me since they're buried in my bags.

The oem carpets are long out of production and very difficult to find.

Sent a note to Pinwall, found a couple of sellers for aftermarket ones...unless Pinwall comes up with a set, will go with aftermarket.  By the way, while looking, I see something called a fork brace?  It's something to brace up (add to?) the strength of the triple tree I guess.  Has anyone used this item?  Does it fix something?  I didn't think I had a problem and needed this item.

I've heard of people using them on the GL but not the valk.

I also looked at EBay and have seen them listed from time to time. That said, you may want to check out this link as they show a set for the Interstate on the page. It looks as though they also do custom work.

The front forks on the Valk are heavier than on the GL, and are NOT needed.  I asked about them when I put the sidecar on, and Hannigan saidNOT NEEDED even with a sidecar, which puts a lot of side force on the forks.

Save your $ for safety chrome!  LOL

Sounds like a plan to me.  I want to get the lower portion of the forks chromed, I bought the jack from Sears, but now I am waiting for the frame for jacking up the bike.

Follow up on the little carpets...

I just recieved them from Knightwolff, they did them in Cherry Red with black lettering:
Valkyrie
Tourer

They came out awesome.  If anyone needs mats, definitely use them.
