Texas panhandle

« on: December 29, 2011, 09:20:23 PM »

Just had to get the Girl out today for a nice 100 mile ride. It was in the mid 60ºs with leftover snowdrifts in the ditches. I love the Panhandle! cool

Oss, I'm in the Panhandle-Love the weather, but not a lot of 'scenery'. Here's a link for some pics if you want them:

We finally started getting moisture.  It has rained for 3 days off and on.  Temps are great, in the upper 40's low 50's, just too wet to ride. Sad Sad Sad Sad

BUT, it is suppose to dry out for the weekend, so maybe a New Years Day ride will happen. Grin Grin Grin Grin

I might have to move more up north then since no snow here in southern WI at all yet this year.  Temps are not even cold enough yet to make ice on the area lakes to go ice fishing with temps end of next week going up into mid 40's again.  Not complaining about no snow shoveling, but no fluffy stuff for snowmobilers/skiers or colder weather to go ice fishing sure keeps a person cooped up inside the house and winter has just begun.

Sorry, Pierre. It is 72º F here right now. Just watching the grandkids after another beautiful ride. There are still 8 foot snow drifts along the roads in the country, but wore my mesh coat!

60 degrees here today and went out riding back roads with two buddies one on a California Moto Guzzi, the other a VTX 1300, and me on Valk Deux. We were out for four hours and had a great time! Wishing you snow bound folks were running with us! ;)

I'm in North Alabama and I've ridden each of the last 3 days.  It's been really nice here with temps in the low 60's.  Don't know when we'll see it again, so figured I'd take advantage of it.  Smiley  I think that the warm sun today did me a lot of good.  Made for a perfect mid-late afternoon ride.  Only rode 70 miles or so, but would have liked to have ridden a few hundred miles.  Smiley Cheers and Happy New Years!  Don't drink & ride/drive!

As Pierre and I share the same Latitude the weather here is the same; snow covered roads, freezing rain and today hovering around 0 celcius. I envy those who can get out and ride. For those who can, Ride Safe and Enjoy!
