When I bought the Iron Maiden she had a big unsightly dent on the fender.

Fenders are expensive.
Bodywork is expensive.

What could I do?

I contacted Frank at Franks leather products
http://www.franksleatherproducts.com/Flapspics/NewHome.htm

And he made a front fender bra that would cover the dent.

Now the damage is hidden and I didn't have to live with a dent.
What do you think?

That's one way to hide an imperfection.  Reminds me of my brother.  He bought a new car and after a few months I noticed a bumper sticker on the left rear bumper.  Now I know how much he hates stickers of any kind on his vehicles so I asked him why did he put a sticker on his car.  He said "we don't talk about that around Pat (his wife).  It seems she backed up some place and struck a pipe which put a nice little dimple in the plastic bumper and cover.  So, as you did, instead of having to shell out a bunch of money for a repair, he just put a sticker over the dimple.

And the bra doesn't look bad.  Good thinking.

Thanks.
To be honest after buying the bike and insuring it and buying a lift bracket and jack for it etc. etc etc. I just didn't have the $$$.
There are so many other mods I just couldn't see throwing money at something that wouldn't improve the bike.

That's a big improvement for sure. How does it attach?

Industrial strength Velcro.
I removed the fender and cleaned it inside and out. After drying thoroughly I stuck one side of the Velcro to the inside of the fender. The Velcro had been cut in a scalloped pattern so that I could bend it to the contours/bends of the fender without it wrinkling or bulging.
I kept the fender inside the warm house for 2 days for the adhesive to fully cure. The other side of the Velcro is sewn to the leather of the bra. From there it was just a matter of stretching it around the shape of the fender.
Pretty easy.

I got a dent from when I had a tool bag on my forks. I hit a big pot hole and that's all it took
