yr 97 bought nov 2003.
two-brothers  triple tree.
avon venom tires.
everything else factory.
previous valk all standard (smaler shield) very stable at any
speed.
my new valk very sensitive to any imput in the steering, specially
beyond 90 mph.
dealer check all bearings, balance etc ok
i understand the triple tree reduces the trail.
Any ideas? some tell me the avons can do that.

A friend of mine in Texas had the same problem with her Interstate which was set up the same way(2 Bros. Triple Tree & Avons). We decided that since the "Tree" was designed to lessen the steering input & that the Avons will definately make it steer easier, it was just too much of a good thing. She replaced the Avons with new Dunlop 206 Elite II's (the improved Dunlop) & the problem was gone. Good Luck!

If you like the 2 Brothers triple tree, then you may be limited to what tires will work for you. With your reduced trail that may be something you just have to live with unless you want to go back to stock.

Reducing the trail will make it steer quicker.

thanks "six2go" "kc" and tony for your replay.
i replaced the back avon with a d206 ellite dunlop just to see.
! big difference !. i like the 2-bros because i ride every day in the
city. i can't wait to replace the front one, but i need to put some
more miles on it. the reason i replace the back tire was because
i got a timely nail over the week end tha i was able to plug.
it is amacing how your bike is affected when things are changed.

Stick to the Dunlops. I've tried variations and going back to dunlops was like putting the sled on a rail. Forgive me Honda.
