I have a 97 tourer. About a year ago i started having problems with the cluch slipping on my valk. This seams to happen especially on hot days. I have about 18 to 20 k on the odometer. I tried bleading the cluch fluid. This does not seem to help. I Do have aftermarket cluch and break handles from jc whitney. Has anyone had problems with these handles? P.S. I do not ride the valk all that hard, burn out now and then, only around a group of harleys.  Hee Heee....

When you started with 'I don't run the Valk all that hard' you had me worried, why ride a Valk?
I haven't heard of any problems with the after market levers that you have; I haven't heard anything about them good or bad.
Then too I haven't heard of any problems with the clutch slipping with mileage any where near yours.
If you have the stock levers sitting around, you might try changing them back to see if there is any difference.

I'll have to take a ride to my fathers house, where i keep the valk.(apt. living) and see if i did'nt toss out the levers. I'ts supposed to get a little nice this weekend, near 50. (gary,In.) I've had this on my mind all winter.....Thanks for the reply K.C.

KC's suggestion is right on the money.  Put the stock levers back on and see if the problem goes away.  There have been numerous reports of problems with aftermarket levers binding and causing the exact problem you are experiencing.  I don't recall which brand caused the most problems but you have to remember that JCW is selling many different brands and you could very well have a set that are known to be a problem.

Thanks for the reply Mr. Wizard. I'll be checking this weekend to see if i can find the oem levers. I've been riding since i was 14 I'm now 42 so i know i could have not wore out a clutch that fast, as i consider myself an experienced rider......thanks
