Is it normal to hear an electrical buzz when applying the front brakes?  I notice it when coming down from speed without using the rear pedal.
Also, the motor 'ticks' like a noisy tappet used to on old cars.  I adjusted the valve and plug gaps on the weekend and the performance improved, but the ticking didn't stop.
The bike has 30,000 kilometers on it (18,000 miles), 26,000 by the previous owner who I've never met.
Third gear roll on from 50mph is positively addictive! But, gas consumption is a curse.
I feel like I've finally replaced my 1984 GL1200 standard, the last bike I truly loved (hit-and-run victim) It was virtually a 4 cylinder Valk.
Gup.

The brake buzz is normal. It gets louder or quieter depending on the brake pads used. It seems that the Honda pads are the quietest.
The ticking is probably the PAIR valve. Mine does the same thing. Look at this site: http://www.rattlebars.com/valkfaq/#NOISE
I have 65,000 miles  on mine so far.shocked
