It seems a lot of people are using the trigger wheel on the Wings and Valks. I am curious what kind of results you folks have had. I believe there is a couple of different degree wheels, yes? From what I've read they claim better performance and gas mileage. I am interested in knowing what you folks are using out there.

Don't believe everything you read. I put the trigger wheel on my old 97 standard at a mini ride in when a lot of other guys installed at the same time. We put the bikes on before and after dynomometers. Some had increased hp, I actually lost power in 1st, 2nd, and 4th gear, with marginal gains in 3rd and no appreciable difference in 5th. My mileage might have improved a mile or two, but they tell you to put 90 octane minimum in it with the trigger wheel on (although lots of folks don't), so whatever gain I had in mpg's was pretty much gobbled up by the added cost of fuel. On that day, the guy who had the most impressive gain in hp was someone who had Cobra 6 into 6's and had re-jetted.

If you're just dying to tinker with it, play away, but don't count on it making a huge difference in performance. I'm not even going to bother putting it one my 2000 I/S. My humble $0.02.

I installed a 6 degree trigger wheel in my 98 standard shortly after I bought it used.  I'm not sure I could really   notice any difference in performance.  It would be interesting to put the stock one back on after I've ridden it several thousand miles with the trigger wheel.   I don't think it helped gas milage and I   have to us premium fuel, which really isn't any big deal.  Would probably do that anyway.  I also put catalysts in my gas tank (forgot the manufacturer's name) and didn't notice any improvements from that   either.  In short, I don't  think I'd do either one again, but it's a realatively cheap add-on if you want to try it.  (I did intall it myself without any problems).

Ride Safe.
