Yeah, they're fake! The Valk draws air from a central air box under the tank. The Stacks are just "gee whiz" items.

Like he said-the velocity stacks are non functioning. There are lots of things that can be done though.Cheesy

You mean visual punch or go fast punch?

From what I've read here, the trigger wheel, which adjusts the timing, is a popular and simple mod that adds horsepower. Look for a thread here in the tech forums and you should get an idea of what it is.

I have the stacks on mine, and the attention they get is incredible.
While they don't have any practical perfomance value, they certainly make the engine look bigger, and draw a crowd.

And there are cheaper, plastic ones out there, so beware.

Dont know how you personally define "punch" but if visual is of interest, you cant beat the impact of adding the stacks!  Even if people dont know exactly what makes the machine look so awsome, they find themselves commenting on how BIG or WHATS THAT!      I see lots of comments after the stacks vs. before.

Stacks are one of the best things I did to mine in retrospect.

I have seen a valk with real  velocity stacks but I believe it was a custom job. Something about turning the carbs around so that the intakes pointed out. I don't believe a kit or anything like that exists though. But I wanted to let you know that it has been done.
