My son, 25, just bought a used Suzuki Katanna 750 cc 12,000 rpm redline.      We were rinding country roads this weekend and he wanted to race my Valkyrie Tourer.....I never dreamed a 750cc machine could acelerate that fast......amazing......we started from a rolling 1st gear start and were to race to 90 mph and shut down,  he jumped 30 feet ahead in first and pulled me greatly in each gear to 90 mph and we shut down.......manoman....I can't even imagine the power one of those 1100cc crotch rockets must have......

I jumped on a Ducatti last summer to see what the rush is all about. FUN, but I could see me wadding the bike and me up really fast. You need to be very responsible with power like that; or REALLY LUCKY. I don't know how those young guys stay alive long enough to learn to cotrol it.

Ya wanna great laxative, this is it.  The Honda CBR600RR will absolutely scare the poddy outta ya.

A friend broke his arm helping another friend go some work at home and asked me to ride his RR back to my house for safe storage 'til he could pick it up.  I rode it about 21 miles from Boerne to Pipe Creek and was never so impressed in my life.

I do not want one of these uncomfortable, hard to control rockets.

When I started riding in 1980, that's the type of bike I rode for the 1st ten years --- they are alot of fun.  In the 80's, they were still comfortable bikes, not all hunched over like today.

At 48, my Valk Standard has more than enough power for me.

Those things really are a blast.... I borrowed a friend's Kawasaki 600 something or other when in ELkhorn WI for some races... 10 biker friends and I was stuck driving the car full of luggage and camping gear. The thing was like a good pair of sneakers.... it just became a part of me.

In a perfect world, there'd be a couple of bikes in my garage and you can bet there'd be a rocket in there among them.

But I still think the Valk is among the best bikes you can buy for all around versatility... and I love that you don't have to rev that motor to get some stump pulling power out of it.

Stump pulling power, I love it...lol!

Nothing like torque when you need it!

i bought a 03 cbr1100xx superblackbird to compliment my valk.  The only thing they have in common is two wheels.  145 hp at the rear tire is quite a ruch when your 52!  gotta love it though

That are members of an exclusive club for 50cc croctch rockets! They leather up and all, pretty hilarious to see 30-40 year old dads in one piece leathers riding a bike it looks like they just stole it from the neighbors 10 year old! Guys are quite testy too when you rib 'em!
