Greetings, We are trying to get some kind of head count from this board on who is exactly going to MONTROSE this July 6-9th for our Annual VOAI "BACK TO OUR ROOTS" FAMILY RIDE-IN. This way the club can plan or not plan speical events for us depending on the turn out. We know there is alot of people thinking of going but since people on here do not like to post it gets real hard at getting any numbers to work with. We're planning this one on the KISS Method which is different from past ones in that we are keeping it plane and simple. Most things including eating will be pay as you go, and events as well. This way our club bank account does not have to eat up the extra cost when people do not show for an event. Thus keeping cost down, espeically upfront cost which are always high are kept down alot and we all are winners. Infact, membership dues which help sponsor this event are more protected and not used for not. This is because people who don't show up we don't spend extra money on therefore we don't have to spend hard earned money to cover the extra unused cost as in the past . Please work with us and let us know if you are or are thinking of coming so we can plan accordingly. It's in everyone's best interest. We do want to make it ALOT OF FUN for riding and after riding enjoyment time among other things. We aim to please everyone and make our Annual Ride In a place to get our Family of Valkyrie Owners together for the BEST Family Reunion and We Always Want You To Come Back For More...Ya Know...It Is the Longest Running Valkyrie Ride-In Going and Always Fun.. Thank You Very Much! Your VOAI! Thanks. TAZ :flamer:

taz is asking for a head count for montrose.
in 1996 i was placed in charge of planning a national rally for the CMA. it took 9 months of planning to bring it off. please believe me when i say that the most important information the rally planner can have is how many people are coming.
the local chamber of commerce gives local business a heads up so they can prepare. i only expected 4 to 5 hundred. i got 1300. we had a fabulous rally, but ! our local restraunts ran out of food twice and had to pay for emergency deliveries.
our police dept. wanted to know how many. hospital wanted to know how many. chamber of commerce wanted to know how many. gas stations, bike dealers, gift shops, motels, campgrounds, everyone wanted to know "how many"
it just makes your rally planner look like a moron when he cannot tell them "how many"
i realize plans change depending on circumstances, people get sick, job requirements change. but it is so very important that taz has a close estimate of how many will attend. i will attend, i will bring my wife, i will not be bringing any kids, i will be bringing five CMA members i know of. see how easy that is?
help taz out with this folks.

since you dont show an email address I couldnt email you cma but you can always email me anytime Bonnie and I will be there and maybe a day early 1 motorcycle -2001 Interstate black & tan + 1 bushtec trailer Tell me where to send my registration money and will do so ASAP. Will you have a rabbi there to bless my bike or should I do it before I leave? The Interstate has already been koshered by the previous owner, a LEO from New Jeresey who cut the piggies off. evan:D

I am booked and am planning to be there, riding solo. Assuming my recovery from the ole triple bypass continues to go well and business doesn't prevent my coming, I will be there.

and are still planning on coming. Alas my brother is 14th on the alternate list to get vacation where he works, so it looks like a no go for him and his wife.

dissention ?
good grief, this rumpstun guy has caused nothing but dissention. i re-read the past posts, cmawest tried hard to be nice to this character, but apparently he just has it in for Christian bikers.
i can tell you that a few years back i was coming accross wyoming headed for sturgis. it was very hot (100's) i had been riding for hours and was seeing double in the heat when i came upon a rest stop right out in the middle of the wyoming desert. there waved that familiar yellow and white flag.
what a lifesaver that was, ice cold lemonade, ice water, coffee, and snacks, and they wouldn't accept my money. they blessed my bike and gave me a cma bible. two of the nicest cma bikers i have ever had the pleasure of meeting. if i was to take bets on it, i would say that this man and his wife "were" cmawest.

you would have won that bet texas6. i remember you well.
glad we were a help, thats what we do. we did that coffee stop for 9 years straight. last year we turned it over to some other cma members and moved on to the rodeo ministry. so now we work both. keeps us pretty busy. but we sure missed the coffee stop.

yes, we do plan on being there. wife is fine, she doesn't like the idea of my trading the trike for a valk, but i really like it. i miss my radio so i suppose i should have held out for an interstate, but i found this one new in the crate. i am doing a 3,000 mile ministry trip in may, so it and i will learn to get along, i'm sure.
hey taz, are you reading this ? how about i set up a formal bike blessing on the evening of the 7th. we can do it in the hotel parking lot or over at davis's, or wherever. let me know.
and no, i'm not a rabbi, but i'm really really interdenominational, lol
don't be too hard on old rump, there are troublemakers everywhere. i've been hammered on by the baddest 1%'ers in the country. some came back and apologized, some found Jesus. it takes more than the rumps of the world to make me stop trying. but i thank you all for your kind support, i hope i can be worthy of it.
till montrose
