I've only been bested by one stock harley, and that was a v-rod. Does a v-rod count as a real harley?huh

joaquin

you need to put the other three spark plugs back into your valk. i can't imagine that a v-rod can catch a valkyrie.

there are also 5 gears in a valk. the next time a v-rod trys you, use more than 1st gear.

he he he !

don't underestimate the vrod......115 hp with less weight.   But I hate it when a motorcycle doesn't run right in a race....ha......I haven't had oportunity to race a vrod yet but I really don't think the Valkyrie will outrun it from what my Harley friends tell me.

The bad news is that a well ridden V-Rod will outrun a well ridden Valkyrie in a drag race. This is considering both are stock with the same size riders. The Valkyrie will pull away in twisties from the V-Rod but not really the new Street Rod. I think it has to do with the fork angle and riding position. The really disturbing news is that any well ridden 600 sportbike will simple eat either one.shocked

Those other bikes don't combine their speed with the comfort of my favorite easy chair.

Yeah, I'm into comfort too....but it is sure nice to outrun a Harley on occasion......it would definately hurt my feelings to be outrun by a vrod.....haha......I'd still race one......in hopes he would miss a gear....haha

Those V-Rods are too small to my eyes. Not to mention the crotch rockets. One of the first things that I noticed when I climbed on the Valk for the first time was the way it fit me so well.

Also I am not sure but I believe that the Valk because of its grearing has a higher top speed than the V-Rod. That would explain why I left that guy on the v-rod behind out on the highway ;-).

I love to race my Valk ......especially with Harleys.....but I just don't do top in speeds.....too much can go horribly wrong.   I love fast excelleration but will shut down at  100mph....that's just way too fast enough...ha

I love it when a harley pulls up beside me when I am going down the road. They look at me with that you should be riding a harley look, and then give me that lets get it on look. I twist the throttle and smile like a mule eating briars when I look in my mirror and see that look of disbelief on their face which is getting smaller as I pull further away from them. Man, it don't get no better than that. Oh yea!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!   Have not met Mr. V-Rod yet, But I wonder if a Valk with a trigger wheel would take it?

That's it! "The Look" Not so much here around Oconomowoc anymore(now the kinda look away, they're learning the hard way). I like to let them get a little lead on me, then smoke past 'em. that's the "Look" I love to see.
