is it takes a lot to feed those six mouths. But to most of us, it is worth it. Around town I get 36 miles/gallon or about 57 kilometers. At over 3000 rpm's it decreases considerably, about 122 miles (195 km) per tank full (4 gal.)
I'm not sure what a "magna charged Valk" is, or a "blown Valk", but I hope the information helps.
P.S. My great, great, greatfather/mother are from Wales.

Hi Dave,
I have seen a couple of these beasts, specifically Lamont's (Lamonster who runs the big bike riders board (bigbikeriders.com)). He is a great guy and probably would be glad to share a few tips with you, as he is the one who introduced them.
From what I heard, the answer to your question is yes, especially if you have a heavy wrist, I will not quote numbers as I am not sure. The main problem is the wear and tear that the blown Valk puts on the valves and pistons. I know Lamont had to have his valves redone in less that a year after he did the mod. But then he is a power junkie and now has a Boss Hoss so maybe your experience would be different. I have also heard of blown pistons I think.
Frankly I would look very carefully at this baby. If it is in good shape you would have a VERY exciting ride, but don't inherit someone else's problems. A stock valk engine is plenty powerful for most, and will give many trouble free miles, but talk to Lamont and he will give you the straight story.

Your mileage should be about 25 mpg. Hope this helps.

Your milage will vary depending on how you ride but 25 miles per gallon is a good avg. It looks like you have a 1st or 2nd generation Magna charger. The 3rd generation and most likley the last is out now and has been out for some time. I talked to another fella who knows his stuff when it comes to Blowers and he said he went 70K miles before he had problems with the lower half of the motor. And the only reason he had trouble was from Dyno Drag racing. Doesn't put enough actual pull on the bike, just spining the rear tire. I have added the 3rd gen. Blower to my bike and I love it. Power Power and more power. Enjoy your new lady... Pops [attachment deleted by admin]

I am running the Dyna 3000 for Ignition, You really need one if you don't have it. It will allow you to advance or retard the timming to avoid detination. I am not sure about the vacume advance. I also am not sure abou the other 2 generations of Magna charger except that the 3rd generation is a solid piece manifold, and the others are multiple piece manifolds. LaMont spent allot of time refining this thing. But now he rides a Boss Hoss and like I said unless someone else comes up with something better or different, this will probley bee the last generation. Make sure you run Premuim Unleaded fuel. And the Dyna would be behind one of the side covers instead of under the tank. Good luck and I hope this helps. Remember there is a little saying that us Blower guys have, It goes like this..... If It ain't Blown, It sucks!!! Pops

guys ,,u know when u r talking of 25-35 miles per gall is that in U,S gallons or imperial ,,,eg tank of fuel U,S 5.28 galls ,,,,Imperial 4,40 galls ,,, just wondering,,,,,,also noticed today that the petrol pump keeps continously pumping and fuel is running down the neck of a 11/4 inch chrome pipe comming from under the tank down to the manifold,,,will investigate later,,,

spotted the Dyna 3000 today seems there are two settings controls ,, the one seems not to be set,,, pops , do you u know if there is a standard setting for the 3000,, or could i down load some info from some where,,, i didnt manage to get the tank off yet,, ran out of light,, will try again tomoz,,i have stale petrol in the tank ,,, i diluted it down with galls of good petrol but it still smells stale ,, so i will empty the tank and fill with higher octain fuel,,, the bike backfired a bit when i was testing it before i bought it,,, do you think that the carb may have some problem,, as it is leaking fuel from somewhere only when it is running,,, i have only been able to have it tick over for the moment as i need to MOT it and register it before i can lagaly take it out,,, but i noticed the fuel leeking this morn,,, any ideas ??
