Okay... I'm the new kid.

I live in Marin County, about 30 minutes north of San Francisco.  My best friend and I both have Tourer's.  His is a Silver/Black 1999, mine is a Red/Black 2000.  Riding his off and on over the last few years convinced me to get mine last week.

Anyone else live in our neck of the woods?

If my VTX hadn't been killed by a hit and run driver last August (who wasn't so fortunate with me..., $125k in medical later) I probably wouldn't have one now.  But I'm glad I got it.  It really is the epitome of a cruising motorcycle.  I've ridden everything anyone would let me ride over the years, and a new Wing is the only other choice I can imagine.

Before I get shredded about being from California... my family has been here since 1861 (from 1635 in New England), so I guess I'm one of the few California natives.  Personally, I'm not very happy with most of the people who have moved here and messed up all of the great little towns we used to have.

That said...  Sound off!!!

Keep the shiny side up,

Tom

NoCal is one of my absolute places to visit (don't want to stay). I love to ride that whole country. I will be there in July for the MotoGP races at Laguna Seca. We will leave north from there and hit lots of the best roads around.shocked

Hey Evan, did I hear my name mentioned? I'm about 5 miles south of Oakland so if you and your buddy are ever headed this direction (Montrose) shoot me a line.

Fiance is from Albany originally. (Across the bay from San Francisco) and was living up by Tahoe in Pioneer in Panole county when I moved her to MO. Her sister and brother in-law live in Volcano (Panole county) but will soon be moving to Missouri too! (Found out how far money goes here compared to the Northern Cali.!)

I haven't been down through N. Cal. since my trip to Helen, Ga. in '02. I'm thinking that it's about time that I make another trip there.
I should visit a friend of mine in Concorde again. Then there is my daughter who is living now, in Indio.
