Have the MC Cruise on both Valks, works great.  Sure is nice not having to hold those six carbs open all the time.

I know that I have asked this before, but still wondering. How is the speed sensed on this unit? Are there sensors on the wheels? or what?

k.c.

it uses a sensor bolted to the rear axle, with magnets glued into the allen heads of the bolts that hold the rear rotor on. works fine as long as one of the magnets don't fall out. it works the same way an electronic speedometer works.

kinda pricey, huh ?

You know my birthday is the 28th, maybe I can talk the wife into letting me go have lunch with you for my birthday. Sounds like a good present to me.

cool !

at 25 mpg it shouldn't take more than a couple hundred bucks to pay for the gas, so we can still afford a nice lunch and ride some coast. let me know.

KC,
Both of the Valks have small magnets on the front wheel inserted into the rotor hex bolt heads.  The only problem I ever had was removing them to take the rotor off, had to find a bigger magnet to pull them out.  They are not glued in.

The magnets fit in the front wheel, no glue needed.  The best thing I have done to the 03 Valk,  it is great.:flamer:
