Problems getting it up?

I just received the Craftsman sale flyer and Sears has their motorcycle/ATV jack on sale for $89.99........just thought I'd mention it.

you know, i researched that a lot before i bought mine. i liked the craftsman till i saw the one harbor frieght sells. craftsman used angle iron for the frame, harbor frieght used channel iron.

i bought the harbor frieght cause it looked stronger and cost about half. go figure !

I have the sears jack its a nice solid jack. kept my interstate up off the ground all winter long. but i also bought the valk jack addapter off of e-bay I'm also very happy with it as well.

I have the Sears lift and have had no problems with it.  But what is the purpose of the Valk adapter.  I've heard about it a lot and have seen pictures of it.  Is it only used when changing the rear tire or what??  Just wondering....

The Valk is butt heavy to begin with, the adaptor allows you to move the jack farther back so you can lift both wheels off the ground, or just level it......for whatever reason. The only drawback to the adaptor is on CA models (mine) the vapor recovery canister has to be removed before the adaptor can be bolted into place.

I have an adaptor and I really like it.  I've used it several times this year already.  It actually bolts the bike to the lift, so she is really secure on the lift.

John, my beer soaked eyes are not too sure of what they are looking at. How does the adapter bolt the bike to lift ?? Mine only distrubites weight.

I was just thinking I would take some pictures of the actual lift, with the bike bolted to it and post them...

But then I did a search for Valkyrie Motorcycle Lift Adaptors and found one on eBay for $54, complete with pictures..

The only difference is that mine has two angle brackets welded to the bottom of the adaptor that allow me to bolt the adaptor to two drilled and tapped holes in the lift.

I'm attaching a couple of pictures (I hope), which show the lift and I attempted to draw in the angle brackets.
