rode a wing today

the local honda stealer called me today to tell me they had a used goldwing for me to look at. i had been interested in trading my valkyrie off and going back to a wing, partially due to the poor mileage of the valk, partially due to the rougher ride of the valk.

i took it for a good long ride over to the jobsite to show it to the financial advisor (wife) by the time i got it back to the stealer i was convinced. yup ! convinced that i didn't want to trade the valk off.

it had been a long time since i rode a wing very far, the valk. had taken it's place. the wing is a very nice bike, but i had forgotten that you sit on a wing, you sit in a valk.

i had forgotten that the wing doesn't have that instant power the valk has.

i had forgotten why i traded it off in the first place. no, think i'll keep it. it's just a better ride. at least for me anyway.
