Hey all, just wanted to get on the board and say hi. I have been viewing for some time and just got around to registering. I've got a 97 black Valk and I got to tell you. I ride with some good friends who are strictly HD. It's kinda funny when you stop for a break while riding and they start drifting towards her checking her out. Usually they'll make some comments about her but you can tell they appreciate the machine. If their friends weren't around I can guarentee I'd be stuck on a HD for a while while they rode the beast. Recently did the easy version cherry bomb, truck stack conversion on the exhaust. Held my breath a couple times getting everything welded up true but it worked out great. Prior to that I had stock exhaust and was hurting on the mileage end of it. 115 to 120 I was hitting reserve. Last trip I ran 153 miles b4 turning her to reserve. One happy camper.... Anyway this is a great site and have learned a lot so far just listening. Thanks to all

Deav, Welcome to the pack. Enjoy the bike, and all the bike nuts here on this board.
You live Des Moines? which one? There is one here in my state of Washington.

KC, Des Moines Iowa. Got to thinking about my last post & the 153 miles b4 hitting reserve. I also made the vent hole on gas tank larger so am now topping off, using the entire tank. Probably gave me the range as much as anything.

Welcome Deav,

I know I don't have to tell you that you pick a great bike...

And if you've been watching this board for a while, you already know how great the folks that post here are as well.

All I can say now is Welcome and enjoy!
