Hello everyone! It's been a while since I've posted but I have a guestion you all.

I put 20,000 on my Avon's but Tuesday, as I'm riding to work I had the front tire go flat at 75mph! The bike never got out of control, as a matter of fact the handlebars felt heavy and the bike just wanted to go straight. The scariest thing about the whole event was that I had to cut over in front of a group of cars and semis that I had just passed as there was no shoulder in the left lane!

My question is where is the best place online to get tires? The budget is tight so I'm looking for the best price possible. I really liked the Avon's and they lasted longer than any other tire I've used in the past.

Thanks in advance!!

You can also try the ACCWarehouse....

http://www.accwhse.com/default.htm

Click on "Search by Brand" and then choose AVON.  Scroll down to the "Avon Venom R Tires" section.

(38309)   $130.95 Avon AM41 Venom R 150/80HR17 Valkyrie Front Tire #4917912

(38310)   $149.95 Avon AM42 Venom R 180/70HR16 Valkyrie Rear Tire #4958812

It looks like it's about $9 for shipping each tire...

I'm not affiliated an any way, but have found good prices on other items.

I also have not ordered tires from this site and have no idea how the service or delivery compares to others.

Good luck

Just an update and to see if this has happened to anyone else. The tires arrived yesterday so I removed the wheels last night. When I had the tire go flat on me I just assumed that I had run over something but after further investigation last night I had realized that the little black piece that holds the valve stem was missing and that allowed the valve stem to move and tear the rubber boot part causing me to loose air at a rapid rate. I never realized how important that little black piece is! Anyone experience a similar situation?

I'm going to go ahead and put the new tires on today since I had 20,000 on the old ones and was going to have to replace them within the next month or so anyway.

That's a very important little piece of plastic.  I check them every time I check the air pressure nowadays.
