Just for laughs I went to kelly blue book to see what they say about Valks. $6650. what a slap in the face. i guess they've never ridden one. I was thinkin' more like maybe  millions and millions. Any one suggest a decent electronic cruse control?

there is a great article on shop talk
valkyrieriders.com
find shop talk down on left side of screen and double click
then find the cruiser controls article
I just bought the brakeaway last month which is really a throttle lock that releases as soon as you either hit front brake or a button.   I'll let you know how I like it if I ever get around to putting it on.
Darn if every time I look at the bike I gotta ride and never get around to even cleaning it anymore, let alone put on my luggage rack or the throttle lock
Eric is this how yours started getting its lustre?

Clean is good....Clean is good....Clean is good. Just keep repeating that. Maybe you can stop yourself before it becomes an addiction:chug:
There is a cruise control that works on a Valkyrie. I think it is about $400. It looks like one that you add to a car. I understand it works well. Daniel Meyer has one. CUagain.com I believe is his website. He could give you the scoop. He is an author of some GREAT books about motorcycling and Valkyries.

hey just put in a new air cleaner on the interstate. with my nephew he works for a used bike dealer as a salesman/ service rep. they just got a 99 or 2000 interstate he has it up for 13,500 hows that for appreciation. ain't that just like harleys they always be bragging about how there bikes hold there value. now look who's bikes are holding their's. He also said they can't give away the harleys they have in their shop.

I believe this is the stuff referred to earlier:
http://valkyrieriders.com/shoptalk/CruiseControl.htm

If I can get posting this link to work, you'll find a whole mess of info on the cruise control options and links off of it to follow up on them.  Have kept the tank nearly empty for the past week and I've got one of the Audiovox units sitting just out of arm's reach as I type this; waiting for a Pingel aftermarket fuel valve (I previewed the post and it came up censored on half the normal name for the part formerly known as a pet___???) to get here before starting installation (figuring on killing two birds w. one stone, as long's the tank is off the bike).

I paid about $100, including sales tax, at one of our local AutoZones for the cruise control, about another $10 on PVC pipe, fittings, glue, etc to make a vacuum reservoir and I'm sure there'll be anyway $20 or so in odds and ends that'll turn out necessary as the installation goes along.
