Does anyone know if an Ultimate seat would fit with a Corbin passenger seat? Or as I ride alone, is there a good rack with sissybar that would fit behind the Ultimate ? As you can see I have a Corbin and it is very uncomfortable. And is the Ultimate as good as it looks ?
Thanks again.

I have a Corbin, and they are pretty comfortable once they get you broke in. Mine is pretty comfortable after the 1st 50 miles, but my daily commute to work is about 27 mi, so it's a pretty hard one. The Ultimate is very comfy, I thought. I took one of the Big Boy seats out for a ride at the Ride-in at Helen, Ga. Des was there, and is really a very nice guy. I think that you will like doing business with him. Anyone know if he will make it to Montrose this year?

First of all, yes! The Ultimate is as good as advertised(maybe better). I have the Big Boy model & long days are a breeze. Now for the bad part. The Ultimate will not work with your Corbin passenger seat but it will(I believe) work with the OEM passenger seat. I run my Standard in Solo mode(no rear seat) by using a Showchrome rack (which bolts on using the rear seat mounting bolts) with a Solo Cruiser sissy bar. This setup looks good with either a Standard or a Tourer & is easily switchable back to passenger carrying mode when needed.

OH Yeah! I just change my stock honda seat for a ultimate seat. I'm very happy about it! What a change! And i was very satisfied about the old one (75000 km). Pierre

Thanks for all the replies. Will try a bit longer on the Corbin. I might get broke in to it yet.

I would go with the Ultimate. I put one on a I/S and it was great. I now ride a GL1800/A and will put one of Des's new seats on it. If you really ride some distance change, if not, it is not worth the money. To me distance is hitting the road and doing at least 500+ miles a day.

I have the Ultimate King Big Boy on my interstate and it is like riding on a cloud. I am very happy with the seat. I have owned other makes of seats and this one is the one I have always been looking for. Russell

I'm guessing the Big Boy would be the one for you, but I would email Des, and ask him. He would be able to tell you just which one would be right for you. He knows his product, and his recommendation would lead you to the best one.

Mr. Bones: I'm about 5'8" & a little heavier than you. Des thought because of my height I should have the Lowboy. I held off buying until the Paducah rally last year where I could sample Des' products. I'm glad that I did because the Lowboy was too confining for me due to the dished out design. I then put the Bigboy on my Valk & it was very Comfortable. I cannot "flatfoot" the bike at a stop, I am actually using the balls of my feet when at rest. This doesn't really concern me though because every motorcycle I have ever owned has been too tall for me. I have just learned to adapt by sliding forward on the seat when coming to a stop or just putting one foot down. Anyway....... the Bigboy works for me as my weight compresses the suspension enough so that I can reach the ground easily enough(for me).

I don't have an Ultimate seat, but I've been looking.
I met a guy on the Ferry going across Lake Champlain last year who had one and he let me (insisted actually) sit in it. It was unbelievable. I've been looking for a used one, but people just don't give them up, which says allot about them in my opinion.
The Boss is frowning on me spending another $500-$700 on the bike this year (I'm up around $2,000 already), so I'm going to "test" one at the Honda Hoot in June. She may be more agreeable to a new seat after spending 1,000 miles in the stock bench going from Boston to Knoxville.

I emailed Des and he will put aside ONE for me to put on the bike Wednesday at Americaid so Bonnie can decide if she likes it. We will be putting on around a thousand miles out in Colorado so she has a "vested interest" in being comfy in the saddle
My two cents is to email Des after going on his site (just google ultimate seat) and looking at his rally schedule , tell him your dimensions etc and he will answer right away evan

I'm 5'10 and 205 lbs.. Des advised me to go with the low rider and I couldn't be happier with it. Extremely comfortable on any length ride, plenty of room in the saddle pocket to move around and looks great on my standard. It is the best single product I have added to the bike.

Seems as though all with the seats are very happy. And that I should get with Des first so I will. By the way does my being 72 and bald have anything to do with the seat ?? LOL !!
