If you like you could contact our ex-President Doug Scott, he has one on his 2000 Interstate that he bought at the '03 Ride-in in Helen, Ga. It is my understanding that he, like everyone else, is really happy with it. But I know he will give you an honest opinion.

Mr. Bones I like your style.

Being 72 and bald only affects who is riding on the passenger seat!!! LOL

I use a helmet to hide my bald spots.  Sometimes it gets in the way in the shower though!!

Showchrome rack (which bolts on using the rear seat mounting bolts) with a Solo Cruiser sissy bar.  Where can I get info on these ??

Well, I bought my Showchrome rack from J & P Cycles catalog, it was about $39. I think it's also available from JC Whitneyat a comparable price. Check with Honda Directline too, they should have it. The Solo Cruiser Bar that I have came from a place in Texas that I believe is no longer in business. When I got mine, it was the only one on the market & I paid $90 for it. Most folks are now getting them from a guy in New Zealand(I think) for about 1/3 the price. A buddy of mine has one & it's just as nice as mine. Sorry, but I don't know the name of the company but if you go on the VRCC Board & ask, I'm sure you will get an answer. The shipping time is real fast as I recall. Also, Honda Directline has/had them with LED"S that you can wire in to your running or brake lights, however they are more $$$.

MrBones: I just talked to my buddy & got the name of the place for the Solo Bar. It's http://www.bigbikethings.com  The price has increased to $45 but that's still less than anything else out there. He said that his brother ordered one recently & had it in about a week. Good luck!!!! Oh yeah........when you get to the website, click on "cruiser bar".

Thanks six. Time to go looking.
Guess for cruier bar to work you have to have a sissy bar to trade it for. I don't. but like the rack. I don't have much room with the Beetle bags to mount anything that sticks onto the back fender braces.

Yep, ya need the sissy bar mounting uprights to mount the cruiser bar to. I think your setup would good with just the rack. I would have gone that way but was too lazy to remove the fender struts & uprights. Also, I wanted the option to quickly switch back to passenger hauling mode in case I found a willing participant.
