The MTF is sponsoring about a dozen SS1000's in June.  All start from different locations throughout the country.  These guys/gals are experts at this and one major advantage is that they are submitting all the paperwork to the IBA so all you have to do is collect and chart your gas stops/receipts.

Thanks BigR, I have the route worked out and plan on sometime in June. Fargo will be midpoint. I think I'll go solo first time out. Will be interesting to find out when the "wall" will find me. Thanks for the reply's you guys have helped.

When I ran the SS 1000 my biggest enemy was "anticipation" before the ride.    I got so keyed up getting ready I couldn't go to sleep the night before.....only got 3 hrs sleep before we left......I got pretty sleepy as we left at 3 a.m. and came back to Houston around 11p.m......not dangerously sleepy or I would have shut it down.....but I couldn't have gone much farther due to lack of sleep.
