Helen - Friday Report

A great start to the 6th Annual SE Gathering of the Valks today.  Arrived about 11:00 and were greeted by half-dozen new and old faces.  The clouds had moved in and it started raining about 11:15.  Good steady rain for a couple of hours; but then it cleared up.  Al Thornton led a group of us on a nice 1.5 hour ride up US 17 to Hiwassee, east on US76 and then down GA197 alongside Lake Burton.
We have 60+ Valks registered with more than 85 people coming for the group dinner tomorrow night.  Tom Wright has done a fantastic job on getting lots of great door prizes so hopefully most everyone will leave with something.
Weather forcast is great with only a 10% chance of rain as the front is moving through tonight.  If you are in the area, come join us!

Dave, I'm soooooo sorry that I am not in the general area. I only wish that I was close enough to come on in, and participate.
What a great time that I had there in '02. That was really a great trip.
Hope that all of you have a wonderful time. I will be thinking of you, and being envious.
