Hello All,

I just got another Valkyrie and joined the VOAi again.  First thing I did was make hotel reservations for the Montrose ride but I haven't seen much chatter here about it.

Is anyone else going?  If so post here and say where you are coming from.

Thanks,

Hal (PaperTag)

The biggest problem on this board is everyone is snake bitten when it comes to posting on the board.  Not sure why but there is some strange fobia about posting.

Like I said there will be a nice group of great people coming out to Montrose and we will have fun and games and prizes  Great riding, great friends, what more can you ask for.   Those that don't come are the only ones that miss out and don't get any prizes and some of the best riding around.

CYA THERE!

We'll be there Hal.  Wouldn't miss it, look for a Red Tourer and a Blurple Trike.

I was beginning to think I was the only one going.  I love riding Colorado and looking forward to it.

*Mac takes two of his famous anti-fobia pills, then posts*

I'll be there, yesterday I finished making the last of my hotel reservation for the ride out. :jump:

I'll be leaving The Bay Area on the third and am going to take my good sweet time. I'll take 50 through Nevada (the loneliest highway in the world as it's called), spend one night in Austin NV, one night in Salina UT, one night in Grand Junction CO, then "BAM", I'm there.

Hey Cycho.....is Blurple a factory color? Smiley

Probably have to trailer according to my rehab mentor, Mr. Wiz, whose cardiac bypass was a year before mine.  Rod strongly recommended that I forget about riding out since I will be newly allowed to ride my scooter in July.  I hate to trailer, but he's been there, done that, both as to the rehab and as to crossing Texas, Oklahoma and Kansas in the summer.

LOL!  Yes Mac, it is.  Goldwing Illusion Blue, but I think "Blurple" is much more descriptive.

mac

have you thought about riding as far as fernley nevada and staying at the best western, then doing hwy. 50 the next day and stay at the best western in delta, ut. then it is a easy 5-6 hr. ride on into montrose ?

i stayed at both the best westerns. the one in fernley is awsome with a separate olympic size pool. (space foam beds)

the one in delta has the worlds worst mexican restaraunt right next door (pass on that one) but the hotel is great, and you can park right in front of your room in both.

save breakfast for the little bar and gas station about 50 or so miles out of fallon, (1/4 mile before the tennis shoe tree) they have super breakfasts real cheap. i had their biscuts and gravy, awsome, about $3.00.

moms cafe in salina, ut. is pretty good, too.
