Does anyone know where I can get an Owners Manual for my Valk.  Two weeks ago, I bought a 1998 GL1500C with 14K on it.  The first thing I did was change the oil and filter.  I followed the suggestions I saw in the links I found on this board.  THANKS !
As far as I know and, I don't know much, that's all I need to do until the next service is due.  There's the problem.  I have no idea when the next service is due.  I've read that they are roughly 8K apart but that's all I know.  I'll change the oil and filter at roughtly 3000 mile intervals (Personal Choice) but, I love the bike and need to know what else is needed for 200K mile experience.

Thanks in advance for your help.

Jim,
Do you still have the manual on CD. I just bought a 97 standard and could really stand to do some poking around to make sure all is well. If you feel like messing with the request, just let me know what I owe you. Thanks.

Does anyone else have a copy of this CD that they can burn for me? I am willing to pay a reasonable amount for your time and the cost of the CD-R. It seems that Jim's is damaged and cannot be duplicated. Any help is appreciated. Thanks.

Guys,

It appears my copy of the Valk Manual CD is damaged. If anyone can help me out on this I would appreciate it very much. I sent out over 50 copies of this no charge at all to this forum.  Some of you did make a charity donation to the Cookson Hills Toy Run this past Christmas and I did appreciate those donations.  Could one of you that got a copy from me please be a kind soul and send my a copy if you have a  CD burner?

Sure...If it's small enough to copy to my hard drive.  When I get it done, I'll email you for a mailing address.

Hard copies and CD copies can be found on E-Bay.  Another good source is the F6rider.com web site.  There is a section call "shop talk" which you will find many good articles on maintenance, modifications, shortcuts, known issues, etc.  Many cookbook instructions and some are picture by picture.  I have performed most of the maintenance items myself which I would have never attempted without these websites.  Just ask the question and someone will usually have the answer.  Good luck with your valk.
