Hi all.  MaconThunder here and I've not yet been cleared from the que to use my screen name.  I just wanted to let you know that my father and I are purchasing two I/S for a trip from Macon, GA. to Sturguis, South Dakota.  My son will also be going along and riding my 1985 VT1100C Shadow.  We'll be doing the trip in June as I've no interest in attending the Sturgis rally.  I'll keep you updated on the progress.  Thanks TAZ for such a great site and hope you're on the mend and riding soon.

My old riding buddy and I were saying that June or early July would be a good time to go ride the Black Hills again. We've been to the Strugis Rally before, no need to do it again.

Thanks for the welcom Oss and KC!  We usually do the blueridge parkway that time of year but since my dad is 75 this year we wanted to go somewhere we haven't been yet.  As for stopping by sweetwater we'll have to see just how much time we have left. I look forward to meeting ya'll on the road.  We'll be covering a lot of ground on the Valks.

Yea, Macon thunder is going and making friends, keep it up as we got the best group going and everyone is willing to help you with your questions as you just got your bike and are now enjoying the ride of your life.  I am very happy for you and like all of us you won't get much sleep as you will want to be out riding much of the time and brimming from ear to ear with shear enjoyment.  I and all of us still have that feeling even though we have had the Valk for a few years now, it never gets old and always brings pure enjoyment to our life.  

Ride safe, ride often and come back and share your rides with us and any questions you might have, we will help you  all the way.
