How do I adjust the Corbin driver's backrest? I am referring to the one that has a stiched "V" in the middle, not the one with the hole in the middle. I can see a bolt that looks like it should allow for adjustment when loosened, but I took it all the way out and can't make the backrest pad pivot on the post at all. Any help is appreciated. Thanks.

Adjusting that backrest can be a real pain, I know, I had one. First of all, DON'T apply too much pressure while it's mounted in the slot in the seat. You may break the mounting hardware loose inside the seat. What you need to do is; remove the backrest from the seat & loosen the bolt you referred to. Then you have to secure the post somehow, I used my bench vice. Using whatever force is needed, tilt the backrest to the angle you want & put it on the seat to see how it feels. You may have to remove it a couple of times to make final adjustments. When you find the angle that's comfortable, snug up the adjustment bolt & reinstall on the seat. Using a vice is easiest, but you can wrap the post with a rag & apply pressure on the floor to change the angle. This seems like a lot of bother for a simple adjustment, but it's the only way I could do mine. By the way.......it WON'T move once ya get it set. Good Luck!

Thanks Hoosier Valk,
I pulled that thing until I thought it was about to break the plastic backing of the seat. I will give it a shot on the table vise.

I couldn't wait until I got to work tomorrow so I wrestled with it on the living room floor until I got it like I wanted it. Thanks for the advise guys. My main oncern was that I would break it, but now all is good.
