I'm looking for a decent MP3 player for my 99 I/S.  Anybody got any suggestions for what type or brand MP3 player to get and where to get it?

My next one will be an iPod because it holds so many different songs. Even on a long trip, they won't need to be changed. But that is just my 2 cents and worth about what it cost you ;-)

Valker, I have heard of the iPOD; supposed to be a really good one.
My question for you is how much memory space would I need, and how much software is necessary to download the music to 'prep' the MP3 for this extended use.  I already know that I need to free up some space on my computer.  It's pretty sluggish.

it's a little pricey for me. Sony makes a spiffy little minidisc player that is smaller than a pack of cigarettes. Each minidisc holds a whopping five hours of music. It is only PC compatible, but it comes in at less than a hundred bucks.

My son has one of those Sony mini disc players; maybe I should just steal, er, borrow his?
