At the risk of sounding arrogant I didn't really learn anything new on the range but the classroom info was good though.  Other than me and one other guy on a Royal Star the rest were noisy, floorboard draggin', poor braking Harleys.  The class was plenty advanced for the rest of the riders as the majority all had trouble with locking up the rear tire and keeping inside the box for the figure 8 excercise.  I suspect the Valkyrie is a much better handling bike at low speeds in part due to it's upright seating position versus the Harleys with their forward controls.  Don't you think it would be hard to modulate the rear brake with that big goofy foot pedal you have to push forward?  I'm glad I took the course anyway and would recommend it to anybody.

I took the ERC myself, about 4 years ago. It's about time to take it again just for the experience, and a refresher.

I watched Motorman do some of his "Ride Like a Pro" course during Leesburg Bikefest last weekend. He sure didn't have any trouble with the big brake pads on the Harley's they demo'd.

I still don't have the hang of it but I'm working on it. I want to take the MSF course but I'm not quite ready.

Take the MSF course ASAP.   It will get you comfortable quickly.
