Can anybody recommend a good cleaner for very dirty rims?

I use "SIMPLE GREEN" but I am not to picky either.  It will take a few applications but it works.
Of course their are a lot of different products that will work. Just go in your local "AUTO ZONE" and pick one.

Thanks Ron, I'll give Simple Green a shot.  I just didn't want to use something that would be too abrasive or damage the rims themselves...thanks again!

I used standard auto cutting compound then gave them a couple of coats of wax. You get a bit of a sweat up doing it but they came up well and are much easier to clean now.
Oh did i mention the skinned Knuckles! you get them two.

The "Boms Away" metal cleaner/protectant seems to work quite well.  Then follow up with "The bom" for better protection.

I personally love mothers mag and aluminum polish. It takes a little elbow grease but it works wonderfully. You can get it at carquest or napa
