I am STILL in search of the lower hose holy grail. Post pics of how you dressed up your lower, or any pics you have found on the 'net of others custom lower hose treatment. I've been searching all over and have not found ANYTHING that looks decent! I bought the Showchrome corrugated monstrosity :puke: and it AINT going on my Valk!! It's HUGE and gaudy!! Right now mine is naked, it's a clean look but boring. I've about chromed out the Valk to my likeing but the plain lower hose makes it look incomplete to me.
Help a brother out here!!:) Oh yeah, any info as to where I can purchase something to dress the lower up would be GREAT! Thanks in advance!

Are you talking about the black hose coming out of the bottom of the bike? It is very noticeable but it never bothered me. What is that for anyway?

It is the lower radiator to water pump "L" shaped hose. Here is how mine looks now, new hose, naked! Excuse the bug splatter, just got back from a 200 mile ride today! {see pic} Also a pic of the Showchrome lower hose kit too. What you can't see from the pic is how MASSIVE the clamp covers and corrugated hose is. It looks like it would fit my F250 Power Stroke diesel! It's for sale too, I'll take $45 for it {I'm taking a 50% loss} if anyone here wants to put this on your Valk!

you know, i don't know what the older valks came with, but my 03 has a tightly wound spring around the hose. i think it looks fine and it really protects the hose well.

Mine had a black "slinky" style cover on it but sometime in it's previous life it was mangled and very unsightly so I tossed it when I replaced the hoses. I have seen a stainless "slinky" style exactly like the black stocker on others Valks but the owners did not know where it came from. I did just find a braided cover kit at cyclepages.com for $35 or so that has chrome clamp covers included. It is hopefully on the way. We'll see!

The stainless "slinky" is a stock part for later model Valkyries. The Honda part number is 19123-MBY-000, HDL lists it for $23.90.

Thanks Cycho, I'll have to buy one of those. The braided kit I ordered last night has been discontinued! I'll use the later model "slinky" style cover and come up with some kind of hose ends or clamp covers that suit me. I guess all this hunting around I'm having to do is the price we pay for riding a "discontinued" model bike! ......Although,It's worth it!!!

Thanks for the quick response! I'll pack the hose kit up tonight and ship it out UPS Tuesday! I'll PM you a tracking # tommorow too. I hope you like it, it is of good quality just too big for the look I am trying to achieve on my Valk! Live and learn! I'll always try to see how something looks on my bike BEFORE I plop down my $$$! ;)

Dan How looks like the 19123-MBY-000 lower hose protector like a stainless braided or maybe a stainless coil? I've never seen For me the standard black coil cover 19118-MZ0-000 is simply cheap. Renzo

Anybody have pics of the stainless hose cover? Maybe even the black one too? I guess the point of the stock cover is protection of the hose more so than dressup. The stainless steel cover would do both. Gotta be better looking than plain nakedness!:D
Fish, that is a bug, not bird doo-doo! We grow bugs big down here in Florida!!!:D

Here's what my '99 Interstate has - excuse the bugs, still have another 2 days until bath day. Saving up my pennies for a chrome oil filter cover!!!
