OK I have made my reservation. Talked to the owner, a really nice guy Jimmy. He said that we already have about 25 people coming. It sure looks like it is going to be a great time with lots of great things to do!!! I am psyched!!!

So I will be looking to hook up for the ride down from the Northeast. It looks like it will take about 3 days of riding, at about 500 mi per. So if you are going down and would like some company keep me in mind. I need someone to watch my back ;-).

Also of course there will be the 3rd Annual Americade Thursday breakfast ride (in June 7th), unfortunately last years ride was rained out but we had a few who showed up anyway and we had a great breakfast and lots of talk. Hopefully we will have better weather this year.

Paul   it will be great to see you again after so many years and you will have a blast for sure.   Yes the motel is filling up fast now, but not to fear as there are afew more very close by we can stay at too and will be posted soon.  Some are closed right now for the season and will be open sometime after the new year.

I think there are a few for sure going from New England area, just not sure if riding or trailering their bikes....I myself would prefer to trailer as I get a bit older but if you got the time then take the ride.   friend from Charlotte is riding out on the 9th if you want to go with him but he has a goldwing and travels for a llong while before stopping.

Will be great to see you there, and safe riding always!!

what in the world is this trailering stuff? If your old then I must be out of range. I will be 74 then and plan on riding the 1500 from AZ. Never have and never will tote a bike to any ride. Thats not what its about. Its about riding there to be with fellow riders.

See you there,

Alright MrBones!!; I am a believer that if you're going to take your bike somewhere, then RIDE IT. I was afraid that I was becoming a very small minority.
Nice to see that I still have some company. I have a friend of mine who rides as hard as I do, and he is 2 years your senior. He is my hero, I hope that I am still riding like him when I reach that age.

Glad to hear you are going to Eureka Springs Paul.  I think Andy is planning to ride so you will have some company from Jersey anyway.
My bride can't ride that far on the bike so I'm going to trailer.

  See you at Americade.

...but I will be there on the Valk, Abby will be riding my 250 Ninja, and Caleb will be on my Reflex scooter.Cheesy
Of course, it is only about 500 miles to there for me. We will leave early in the day and just mosey there since it will be the first long trip (driving) for both of them.shocked

But I suspect this will be a rather slow ride with lots of breaks. I will be teaching and coaching as well as riding this one.shocked

Looking forward to seeing you all!!

I will probably ride down. It will be the first long bike trip since 2 weeks in the alps 2 years ago (wow was that great!!). I gotta say I miss that. I mean I love going out to Americade every year and spending the week on the bike, and those long summer weekends in the mountains in NE, but there is a real sense of adventure when you put a few days travel between you and home. But it is physically demanding and I have considered trailering or shipping my bike down. I doubt it though. Anyway I will be there! Should be a great time!

Here we come...

I'm 90% sure you can add my name and Loren's name to the list for Eureka Springs. Will know more sometime in Feb.   Loren makes at least 1 trip a year to that area, and it's one of his favorite places.  My first trip there was this Summer, and I have to say... the roads/scenery are wonderful!!!

In fact, we're considering moving there sometime in 2007.

Valker - I look forward to meeting you and your family, that's wonderful that they're coming along for the ride/training as well.

I look forward to putting faces to posts.

BTW - there's an article about a woman Valk rider in this month's Wing World Magazine.  (cool)

TAZ - come on now... ride that Valk!!!  Trailers are for Harleys (haha)  it's only 700 miles (give or take) from Madison.

As long as I am not riding to Colorado or New Mexico I will be riding for sure.  Just got sun stroke riding home from New Mexico and Colorado was tough...but I think it is more the very boring scenery or such a lack of scenery going from Chicago to there that turns me off so much.  At least going through Missouri south is pretty and great roads so that should make it alot of fun.  Hope to have a job by then and have time off to get down there. But I am planning on it for sure or I just wait and go and then get a job.....

My wife has osteoporosis and is good for about 300 miles a day, if Eureka was any furthur I would prbably have to trailer.  She has ridden there with me before, so unless things change, we will be riding.  Changing the subject, Eureka Springs has a great shopping area downtown, with several leather shops along with craft type shops everywhere.  Very reasonable pricing, plus the historic buildings are all down there.  If I have to trailer, I'll need to bring more money, SWMBO will want to buy more, since we would have the truck to fill up.
