Todays ride. Took the scenic route down to St. Pete beach, me and wife, her on her Shadow.
From the road leading to Ft. Desoto Park, back towards SPB.
BTW, 83 degrees and sunny! I'm burnt to a crisp!

Back home through the woods of central Florida!
Wife stretched out on her hi-way pegs. {Taken from a Valkyrie of course!}

God I love 3 day weekends!
A1A Flagler Beach on Friday, of course, taken from the Valk!

Never know what you'll find on the backroads of Florida!
Outside of Hastings FL, between Palatka and St. Augustine. Didn't have time to poke around but I'll be back with others in tow! Looked interesting!

Ride a lot do ya. It's great. Wish that I could go as much.

I went after work this AM from 210 down SR 13 and then to St Augstine to another station,  another rider joined (my partner on the ambulance) and we went back roads to just outside of Hastings and went N on SR 13 where he returned to St Aug and I continued home in.  It was about 180 miles and absolutely a great ride. Wanted to ride longer but had to get back for dinner at the inlaws, had a fish fry!! cool

I don't have as nice riding weather as you. But  I manage to get out. My poor bike sat for about 9 days; I hated that, because it snowed.
I got out Sat. though, and managed to put on a little over 150mi.

Great weekend in Central Florida, that is if you like 78 and sunny!!

Tropic, do you know of a good private cycle repair shop in Ocala. My oldest son has a 1993 GSXR 750. It is in great shape but has been running poorly lately. I would like to find some small shop that would not rip him off. I do most of my own work on the Valk, but his bike is a different story.

Wow.  That is so cool!  Or warm I sould say.  You two are really getting out a lot!  Are you riding on weekends or did you hit the lottery?

Valkmc, call Sebastian at Melillimoto at 307-0299. It is a little shop behind Baseline Auto Repair across from the old Consolidated Grocers Distribution center on Baseline Road. He is a ducati freak but will work on any bike. Very honest and trustworthy.

Well fish......
We are not rich, that's for sure! Let's just say we have reached a point in our lives that allows us to have a few nice things and I guess I've grown up a bit too! Smiley
I have divested myself of all the "stuff" I had gathered up over the years. Basically sold off all my parts, cars and trucks that I have been hoarding and bought a couple of bikes with the money. I used to drag race but just kinda lost interest and rekindled my bike riding urge. Racing was only fun for me and I wanted something to do together with the wife. She started out on the back of the Valk but soon progressed to her own ride. I love my home state and take almost every free day to get in some riding. Thanks to a mild winter this year we have had a lot of chances to ride!  Cheesy
Time with the ones you love is WAY more important than money sometimes! I'm glad I figured that out before it was too late!

Awesome.  As I get older too I realize the less I need.  Sure I seem to buy those few expensive things that we can really enjoy but isn't funny how as you get older you realize you don't need all of that "stuff"?  My wife and I have done the same over the last few years and have decluttered our lives.

Congrats on being able to ride so often.  Pix are beautiful!

Yep, I agree. I call my wife my girl friend. The way I see it is that any one can get a wife any day, but its really hard to find a girl friend. It may sound backwards, but more so than "just my wife" she is my best friend.
Hopefully after the spring gets closer and her work load lessens, then she will have more time to ride with me. Now is just way to busy. I just need to ride with a few other couples so that she will not feel out of place.
Life and marriage is what you make of it, and I think it's great!!
