A few weeks ago I had a leak in the left side case on my V-Max. Had to change oil in the job of fixing the leak and changed to Rotilla T at that time. The Max shifts better that it ever did on Castrol Activo. Thus I'll be switching to the Shell brand at the next oil change cool

Hi,

Do you ever get it when you are driving and shift into "x" gear and it goes in bad? Kind of bucks going in?

Hi H*M,
I remember reading a reply to a simular question in one of the popular motorcycle mags. "He" basically said the the questioner was shifting too "softly".  I always pre-load the shift lever. Just put a few pounds of pressure on the lever before shifting upto the next gear.  Both my bikes shift better because of this technique.

I'm running the Mobil 1 MX4-T 10 -40 motorcycle oil. It seems ok. I can grab it at the local Autozone store anytime.

The bike shifts clunky, I understand that is common.

I would use the Amzoil if it was ez to get and not sooo expensive.

I keep reading about the Rotella and get tempted to try it, but really just cant bring myself to go that way.

Send your sample of changed oil to Blackstone labs for analysis. http://www.blackstone-labs.com/
They can tell you whether to lengthen/shorten your drain intervals or even suggest try another brand.

Its all good...... Cheesy
