I recently had to replace all the tires on my TDI Jetta, and decided to go with Michelin Primacy http://www.tirerack.com/tires/tires.jsp?tireMake=Michelin&tireModel=Primacy+MXV4 all around.

The reviews have been pretty good, and I've been rather impressed with the handling, stopping power, etc. of these tires - and I was wondering if they'd be a good candidate on an I/S?

I did not particularly like the wide grooves (this one has 4 across the width of the tread) of my last tire. I like the Hydroedge tread pattern or one like it.

Why not? Is that a problem?

Not really a problem......probably more a mental thing. I 'thought' I could feel the contact patch when it hit those grooves....
