Waaay over priced and over rated, some shocks like the 440's are $600.

I bought a pair of progressive air shocks at a cost of over $300.
After a few years,a seal let go,and the shock came apart.
They want $180 to rebuild them.

I'll never buy another pair of progressive anything.

pretty sure I paid about 400 for them

If you buy em during the holiday sales at HDL you do get 10% off as well so that helps and no sales tax or shipping

Wife never hits me after going over potholes now.  That is worth the price to me to have my passenger happy  After all its why I bought the bike....so I could ride with my wife as we tour the country

Progressives are really expensive and yes very much overrated just like there front spring sets.
Showa is the most common brand shocks on all Metric and American and are really about the same or better ride and quality as progressive. Full dress Harley showa air shocks will fit the valk but you have to do the plumbing and modify the bushings. You can usually  pick up a set for under a $85 on ebay as the HD guys sell them and put on progressives (go figure)
