I presently own an 88 Electra glide classic with a "Sputnik" side car. Im looking to sell these so I can buy a vaulk! I used to own a Goldwing which was awesome and Im guessing that the Vaulk is in the same league. So, If anyone knows someone who wants a Harley touring bike with a side car or without, Please let me know so I can buy your Vaulk!!
I am living on Vancouver island in British Colombia.
My name is Wayne.

wayne,

here in america we like to call them "valks" Grin Grin

i have owned three wings and now two valks. in my humble opinion, and i ride 10 to 12 thousand miles a  year. not even the wing travels as good as a valk. they just "feel" better. and they get exceptional fuel mileage Roll Eyes

hey hatchetman

if you pass this one your not a serious buyer. i just paid this much for a standard, and it was a 99. if i haddn't just bought my second valk i would be on a plane this morning to get this one. actually i am considering doing it anyway, tourers aren't easy to find.

hey hatchetman,

all we hear is how well these precious harleys sell. you aught to be a major buyer by now. if we don't hear that you have jumped on one of these valks pretty soon, we ain't gonna believe all this harley hype any more. an 03 with 10,000 miles is a great buy at any price. but $9,500.00 ? well like i said, if you don't jump on one of these you ain't a buyer, just a talker.

just my opinion

9,500.00 is a good price for an 03. unless you want to sell it for lessw. heck i need another one, i got space i ain't used yet. if you want to sell it real cheap let me know. till then if i was in the market for an 03 i would pay that for a nice one. check nada.com for the book value.

kelly blue book is 9,050.00

add low miles and whatever eqipment you have and $9,500.00 is a smokin deal. plus you can't find too many 03's arounf any more. NEVER should have let mine go, you shouldn't either.

I had the bike "sold" to a guy in Houston several months ago for $10,500 but he was not comfortable with the shipping arrangments.  Ever know anyone who shipped a Valk?

I've used haulbikes.com with success.

Nope, I shipped a scooter, but there was a Valk, two Harley baggers, and three Boss Hosses in there. I used them because no prep was required. They pick up the bike at the door and unload at the door. No draining of gas, no battery removal, nothing. I was totally satisfied. YMMV

Welcome from another canuck.

I have both a goldwing and a Valk. The valk is the superior bike but the wing is rock solid too. I use the wing because my valk is having its facelift but once i have both back in the stable, i will use the wing forweekend trips (I have a standard) and the valk for my regular 150 miles a day.

Enjoy.
