Some entries in the forum mention an auxilliary fuel tank. Can anyone help me with a decent description of what this entails or how to set this up or where I can get the info I need to set one up.

I've got a 2001 standard, I live in South Australia and the distance between some fuel stops I want to travel are far greater than the range of the standard tank. I've looked at buying a tank from an Interstate; it's larger capacity still doesn't solve the problem and its over $3500 for a tank.

We don't have the range of aftermarket parts in Oz so it's a real pain getting parts in general.

Cheers all. I look forward to reading any suggestions or info I can get from the members.

Used IS tanks on evilbay go for about $800.  Then add [painting, about $600 or so.  Get one gallon more.
