45 min south of Cincinnati, near Lexington KY. Bike also has SwitchBlade windshield, new battery, and not a scratch on it.

Bikes don't move well in the winter - it'd be better to wait until the spring.
And I think the price is too high. I paid $9K for an I/S w/14.5K on it in April 2006, and I remember an owned-by-mechanic standard going for $11.5K back then.
Since the, I've seen higher-mileage standard Valks go in the $5-$6K range in recent times, so a low-mileage Valk is worth more, but not $4-$5K more.
Check Ebay and look under the "completed sales" listings to see what comparable bikes are going for - or find a copy of the blue book. For instance I found a bike on Ebay which was a 2002, had 12K on it, and it sold for $6.6K USD. A 99 standard only got bid up to $4.85K.

thanks Rodeo, I was merely testing my ability to post a pic on the website comparing to another forum, check my last post. My wife and I plan to make a trip to Oklahoma on this one this summer, don't care if I sell it. Nice one you got there, thanks again.

I paid $10,900 for a 2000 I/S with 14,000+ miles last May. It is superclean and loaded with extras. Color is red and black. A friend offered me my money back for it. Location may make a difference in price. I live and bought it in Arkansas so no shipping charges were incurred.

So he wanted you to cover all the taxes so he'd have a great bike?!? I'm thinking someone wants a bike I just got, they better poney up at least 20% more than what I'd paid!

timk519, In AR sales tax has to be paid every time a vehicle is licensed. I am a bargain hunter and went to look at my Valk as a tire kicker as I had never even seen one. When the seller rolled it out I knew that is what I wanted. It was not a good choice for a novice rider but I have ridden it about 3,000 miles and love it. I live in a town of 1,400 people. Since I bought the Valk two of my friends have bought Valks.

G-bar - I think your bike needs to make a photographic appearance in the "general" forum somewhere.

The bike is never put up dirty or wet, I wipe it down with Honda spray polish and only use 3M micro fiber rags. I'll never buy a new bike again because I'm too paranoid about keeping it like new..ride 2 hours, clean for 1 hour..takes all the fun out of it.
