Somewhere over the rainbow....

« on: February 16, 2009, 01:04:05 AM »

Can anyone explain how the system works with "member status". I see juniors, seniors, super seniors, newbie, premie, pubescent, menapausal, captain, chief, emporer, king, super, duper, super-duper, main man, 4 star general, 5 star general, ...... O.K., I got carried away. Most of those don't exist. Just a matter of curiousity, what's the system? huh

Yes the board forum here has different identities which is determined by the number of post, how long you have been registered as a member.  That then determines the permissions for each person in that particular group.  It does not have any bearing what so ever if you are a true member of the VOAI or not, this is strickly based on being registered on the forum board.  Certain things can also be changed for any given person depending on what or what not they are doing.  So if you are doing a certain task for the club and need special rights to something I can change that, and if your messing with things and posting junk or acting badly I can fix that real fast too.

So to make a medium story short, the more you add to the board in post and replies the faster your status group per say  moves up.  Your all very cool in my book but the program has no feelings one way or the other.   huh

High jacking the thread:
Taz, testing a new camera down load, all can disregard.  Hoser

Looks like it works OK, anybody know how to make it a little bigger?

I use to be a Senior but when I renewed last time I was demoted for a reason I don't know
I know is I am A retired Senior Chief Boiler technician and I get a retirement check which is the best part of life (other than Subic Bay liberty)
